About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at North Atlantic Sushi Inc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
  • Dishwashing and Kitchen Cleaning: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas to ensure that all necessary items are readily available.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Food Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit to prepare them for cooking.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Will train on the job.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
