Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Operator to join our team at McCain Foods. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness in our plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sanitation and Cleaning: Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner to perform all essential sanitation duties in the plant, including high-pressure washing, scrubbing, and deep cleaning.
  • Chemical Management: Perform titration, pH, chlorine, and quat tests for chemicals, and maintain accurate documentation and good housekeeping in work areas.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with operations staff to complete daily HPC (High Performance Clean) tasks, and provide support and guidance as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in daily food safety and sanitation audits, and take corrective actions to resolve any issues identified.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Experience: Previous janitorial or sanitation experience is an asset
  • Skills: Basic computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently
  • Physical Demands: Physically capable of performing all required duties, including some heavy lifting (up to 50lbs)
