Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Derivative Settlements team. As a key member of our Capital Markets Operations team, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, business strategies, and projects to ensure compliance with governing regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage operational activities for the GWO S&C Derivative Settlements team, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks and projects.
  • Lead and drive a customer-focused culture, deepening client relationships and leveraging broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Conduct ongoing coaching conversations with direct reports, tracking performance throughout the fiscal year.
  • Build a high-performance environment, implementing a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates the team.
  • Manage succession and development planning for the Derivative Settlements team, ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities.
  • Plan operational coverage during vacation periods, short-staffing, and statutory holidays.
  • Participate in the recruiting process for new hires to the team.
  • Collaborate with peers to identify best practices and controls that can be implemented within the team.
  • Apply Root Cause Analysis to identify and recommend solutions to senior management as necessary.
  • Participate in all stages of relevant technology and regulatory projects/initiatives affecting the Derivative Settlements team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, with a deep understanding of Capital Markets Operations.
  • Prior people management experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge of Derivative Settlements or FX Confirmations Settlements, with experience in reconciliation of securities.
