Job Description and Responsibilities

The General Labourer is responsible for performing various tasks in a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Bundling and packaging products
  • Packing products into cases and placing them on skids
  • Removing waste and lifting materials
  • Feeding machinery and performing wrapping tasks
  • Cleaning the work area

This role requires heavy lifting, with frequent lifting of 40-pound boxes and occasional lifting of 50-60 pound boxes.

Shift and Schedule

This is a full-time, permanent position that requires working a 12-hour shift. The work schedule is from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm on a rotating shift, with some weekend work required.

Skills and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • To be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • To be able to work alternate weekends
  • To have the physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • To have good attention to detail and work cooperatively with others
  • To have reasonable English speaking and comprehension skills
  • To be willing to undergo forklift training
Compensation

This role offers a competitive starting wage of $18-$19 per hour, with benefits available after three months of probation.
