Cashier Job Description

Vahagn's Your Independent Grocer is seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and processing transactions accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Count and balance cash register at the end of each shift
  • Process returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the cash register area and surrounding areas
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous cash handling experience an asset
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash
Working Conditions:

The Cashier will work in a fast-paced retail environment with frequent customer interactions. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
