Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Technician to join our team in Fort St. John, BC. As an Environmental Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our environmental team on large-scale heavy civil construction and earthworks projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement erosion and sediment control plans
- Conduct environmental inspections and monitoring
- Assist in the development of construction environmental plans
- Conduct soil and water sampling
- Assist in wildlife habitat assessments and sweeps
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or Technical Diploma in a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field
- Understanding of Federal and Provincial environmental regulations and standards
- Previous experience on heavy construction and earthworks projects
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
