Position Overview
Join Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a Youth Support Specialist in Sechelt, BC. We are looking for a compassionate individual to deliver treatment services to adolescents facing mental health and substance use issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver treatment services to adolescents dealing with mental health and substance use issues
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized care plans
- Co-facilitate educational and therapeutic groups
- Engage in youth mental health and substance use prevention initiatives
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Child and Youth Care or a related discipline
- At least 2 years of experience working with youth in a healthcare environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven understanding of mental health and substance use recovery methodologies
- Ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
