Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Developer

Contract Type: 12 Months Contract

Years of Experience: 5 years

Location: Remote/Hybrid (3x per week)

The successful candidate will be part of a team that focuses on automation and configuration as code for foundational architecture related to connectivity across multiple Cloud Service Providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud architectures on Azure and/or AWS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the developer experience
  • Develop tooling and self-service capabilities
  • Mentor and develop junior programmers
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality code

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Experience in Azure and/or AWS (Preference is Azure)
  • Experience in Kubernetes and Container-based technologies
  • Strong development skills in Python, Java, or Golang
  • Sound experience in scripting languages such as Shell Scripting
  • Experience of leading development in projects in a distributed enterprise environment
  • Experience of setting up a new development project using modern tools and practices
  • Sound knowledge of infrastructure and cloud computing
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior programmers
  • Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience of working in Azure and/or AWS
  • Working with teams using scrum, kanban, or other agile practices
  • Proficiency with standard Linux command line and debugging tools
  • Experience of working with RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of how to write comprehensive unit tests
