Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager (HVAC) to manage various HVAC jobs, including chillers, VRF, boilers, and all aspects of the commercial HVAC retrofit and new construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with HVAC solutions through assessing issues and providing expert advice.
  • Estimate and design customer-appropriate solutions for HVAC replacement and installations.
  • Review project drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Understand mechanical drawings and identify potential issues.
  • Identify and manage Change Orders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
  • Attend site project meetings and coordinate project schedules to ensure smooth execution.
  • Track job costing and profitability to make informed decisions.
  • Monitor field progress and schedules to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Create material and labor budgets for each job to ensure accurate cost estimation.
  • Track and report project progress and job costing to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress and billing forecasts for each project.
  • Coordinate work crews, materials, and subtrades to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure Health and Safety protocols are set up and adhered to on all projects to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Prepare O&M manuals and As-Built documents for project completion.

Requirements

  • (313A) HVACR designation with service/projects background.
  • 2+ years of experience in estimating/project management.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to work with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, Refrigeration, Hydronics, and construction codes applicable to mechanical building systems.
  • Strong written and oral communication, as well as leadership skills to motivate and direct teams.
  • Valid Driver's License to travel to project sites.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite to manage project documentation and communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, CET certifications to demonstrate expertise and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Decisive, focused leadership and results-driven approach to achieve project goals.
  • 5+ years of industry experience to bring valuable knowledge and expertise to the role.
