About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Sultan Construction Ltd. as a Project Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing land survey and construction work, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Supervision: Act as project supervisor for land survey or construction work, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards.
  • Client Communication: Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team to determine project requirements and ensure that their needs are met.
  • Construction Planning: Develop construction specifications and procedures, ensuring that they meet the guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations.
  • Schedule Management: Establish and monitor construction work schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time.
  • Material Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials, ensuring that they meet the required standards.
  • Contract Management: Prepare contract documents and review and evaluate tenders for construction projects, ensuring that they meet the company's requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, providing them with opportunities for employment and integration into the community.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, promoting a fair and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, with the possibility of working on-site or in an office environment.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
