Role Overview:
We are seeking a versatile Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to thrive in our consulting environment, collaborating on client-focused projects with cross-functional teams.
In this role, you will play a key part in the design, configuration, and implementation of our CI/CD pipelines, automating our software delivery processes. By working closely with our technical teams and utilizing your back-end coding expertise, you will develop and maintain container deployment, continuous integration, and monitoring systems with tools such as OpenShift, Grafana, Docker, and Terraform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and resolve process inefficiencies, proposing and leading implementation of solutions.
- Collaborate with technical teams to address complex infrastructure, security, or development challenges.
- Stay informed on best practices and disseminate knowledge within technical teams.
- Automate and enhance daily business operations by exploring, testing, and integrating new tools.
- Provide training and resources to support development in a distributed environment.
- Oversee the creation and execution of large-scale technical projects from inception to completion.
- Participate in system architecture planning.
- Ensure adherence to service level objectives through precise infrastructure monitoring.
- Design, develop, and implement CI/CD pipelines, enhancing existing workflows.
- Integrate code quality, security scanning, and QA tools within pipelines.
- Deploy, maintain, and support cloud environments, including Azure Production and Development.
- Follow best practices in cloud architecture, data management, and Agile methodologies.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with DevOps tools and methodologies.
- Expert knowledge and experience with Azure DevOps.
- Proven experience in setting up Azure services from the ground up.
- Background in cloud data architecture projects.
- Experience in fostering a DevOps culture and onboarding new teams.
- Proficiency in back-end coding languages and practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and deployment experience with at least one automation tool (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Bamboo).
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Jenkins).
- Experience with Windows Server and Linux, including strong shell scripting and system programming skills (POSIX Shell, Bash, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, RedHat OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
- Experience with systems monitoring, log aggregation, and dashboard solutions (e.g., Elastic, ELK, Splunk, Prometheus).
- Experience in Agile Scrum or Kanban environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and non-technical stakeholders regarding technical possibilities and limitations.
- Consulting experience with external clients is a plus.
