Job Title: Full Time Kindergarten Teacher or Kindergarten Facilitator

Yellowhead Koinonia Christian School is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a Full Time Kindergarten Teacher or Kindergarten Facilitator.

About the Role:

Under the direction of the Principal, the successful candidate will work collaboratively to plan and implement a full 5-day Kindergarten program within a classroom setting. They will provide supervision and age-appropriate programming to a group of 7 students with the support of an Educational Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children in the early childhood program
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and development
  • Maintain accurate records of each child's attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
Qualifications:
  • Teacher Certification or Level -1/2/3 Early Childhood Educator certification
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a classroom
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience in early childhood education or childcare is preferred
  • Proficient in computer operation for administrative tasks
  • Strong time management skills to effectively plan and prioritize tasks
