We are seeking a skilled Field and Infusion Nurse (RN/LPN) to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Field and Infusion Nurse, you will be responsible for administering medications in various settings, including patient homes and specialty clinics. Your expertise will be essential in providing patient education, monitoring treatments, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications in patient homes, specialty clinics, and physician partnership clinics.
- Assess and monitor pre- and post-injection/infusion treatments as directed by program protocols.
- Complete necessary documentation based on policies and procedures, and as directed by the College of Nurses and Innomar ISO accreditation standards of practice.
- Provide patient and caregiver education based on product monographs and program protocols.
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and other departments to meet established timelines for scheduling appointments and treatments.
- Participate in team web-based meetings and training sessions to maintain and enhance professional practice standards.
- Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.
- 1 year experience in IV initiation required.
- Current registration with the licensing body and CPR certificate required.
- Experience in a critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient/outpatient, or homecare setting preferred.
- ACLS, PALs, MS, and CVAA certification, and central venous lines/port experience are considered assets.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, and MS Word.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work autonomously with little supervision.
