Position: Skilled Barber or Hairstylist

Work Term: Available in Part-time and Full-time

Location: Woodgrove Centre - Nanaimo

Compensation: Performance-based, starting at $18 and reaching up to $25/hour + Tips
  • Additionally, we offer financial assistance for relocation to Nanaimo.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Trained and experienced barber or hairstylist, or currently completing an apprenticeship
  • Exceptional customer service skills - dedicated to exceeding guest expectations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet clients and ascertain their preferences through targeted inquiries
  • Advise on hairstyles and cuts tailored to clients' facial features and personal style
  • Exhibit consistent high-quality technical skills across all cutting techniques, including clipper cuts with fades, natural necklines, texturizing, and customization to meet client needs
  • Build relationships with loyal clients and remember their preferred styles
  • Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations and sanitize tools as necessary
  • Maximize retail sales through effective client education during appointments
