Job Summary:
The BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work collaboratively with clients, patients, and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and engage new clients/patients, documenting assessments and developing care plans in consultation with the healthcare team.
- Participate in team and case management meetings to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide education and support to clients/patients and their families.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
- Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant or RPN registrant.
- Two years' recent related experience working with diverse marginalized populations in healthcare settings or community in a primary care, HIV, addictions, and/or mental health setting.
- Completion of the Point of Care HIV Testing course and successful completion of the BCCDC Immunization certificate and Narcan Certification.
- BCCDC Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Management certification or evidence of enrollment and commitment to complete within six months of hire.
