About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at 10140917 MANITOBA CORP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish.
  • Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, using appropriate materials and techniques.
  • Mix paint to the desired color and texture, taking into account the specific requirements of each project.
  • Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a precise fit and finish.
  • Advise clients on colors and choice of wall coverings, providing expert recommendations based on their needs and preferences.
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging, ensuring a safe and stable working environment.
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, meeting the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Estimate costs and materials, providing accurate and detailed quotes to clients.
Requirements
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Hand-eye coordination, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling, with the ability to work in a variety of positions.
  • Physically demanding, with the ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling, with the ability to lift and carry heavy loads.
  • Tools, steel-toed safety boots, and uniform, with the ability to work safely and efficiently.
