About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Butcher to join our team at Madina Halal Meat & Grocery. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for preparing and packaging meats for sale, as well as providing excellent customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Prepare Meats: Clean and trim meats to prepare them for processing or cutting.
  • Cut and Trim Meats: Cut and trim standard cuts of meat to meet customer demands.
  • Package and Label Meats: Wrap and package prepared meats for sale.
  • Remove Bones and Grind Meats: Remove bones from meat and grind meats as needed.
  • Weigh and Price Meats: Weigh meats for sale and ensure accurate pricing.
  • Prepare Special Displays: Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products to attract customers.
  • Shape and Package Meats: Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood for sale.
  • Process Special Orders: Prepare special orders for customers, including custom cuts and packaging.
Work Environment

As a Butcher at Madina Halal Meat & Grocery, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment, interacting with customers and colleagues to provide excellent service and support.

Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment: Work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments.
  • Team Player: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales and customer service goals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience in a retail or food service environment is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Availability: Availability to work 30-40 hours per week.
