About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled C++ Software Developer Intern to join our Engine Product Development group at Safe Software. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with experienced developers, and contribute to the development of our FME product platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-performance C++ code to support new and existing features in our FME product platform.
  • Analyze and debug complex issues, and collaborate with the team to resolve them.
  • Participate in daily team stand-up meetings, peer code reviews, and brainstorming sessions to share ideas and learn from others.
  • Learn and explore new and existing technologies during your day-to-day work term.
Requirements
  • Proficient with C++ including modern features.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical topics.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated and eager to both teach and learn new skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Visual Studio.
  • Experience with Git/GitHub.
  • Experience with Computational Geometry.
  • Experience with floating-point error mitigation.
