Position Overview

As a Room Cleaning Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guest accommodations at Travelodge Bracebridge. Your attention to detail and commitment to providing a welcoming environment will enhance our guests' experience.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred.
Work Environment

This position is set in a dynamic hotel environment where you will be expected to perform various cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to ensure a pristine appearance.
  • Dust and clean all furniture and fixtures.
  • Vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Make beds and change linens to maintain guest comfort.
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries as needed.
  • Organize and stock the linen closet to ensure availability of supplies.
  • Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Maintain cleanliness in common areas, including elevators and changing rooms.
  • Address guests' requests for additional supplies or information.
  • Handle lost and found items with care and attention.
  • Ensure trash containers are emptied and debris is picked up regularly.
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to uphold the hotel's standards.
  • Respond to customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure and with tight deadlines. Candidates should be prepared for:

  • Repetitive tasks and handling heavy loads.
  • Physical demands including bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
