About the Role

The Global Derivatives Technology Team at Scotiabank is seeking a skilled Trade Floor Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing first-line support to our trading and sales business users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and effective support to resolve issues related to trade booking, profit and loss, risk, interest rate and foreign exchange reset, cash flow, and settlement.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and developers to resolve complex business problems and provide day-to-day support to our North America business teams.
  • Utilize strong SQL scripting skills, knowledge of REST APIs, and experience with log analysis, monitoring applications, and vendor application analysis tools to drive issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of financial markets and products, particularly derivatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently resolve complex issues.
  • Experience working with trading desk-facing applications and tools, such as MarkitWire.
  • Desirable: FRM or CFA designation.
