Food Service Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Erin Ridge Dairy Queen. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food products.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet customer demands.
- Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Reporting and Administration: Prepare and submit reports on sales, customer feedback, and staff performance, as well as maintain accurate records of inventory, supplies, and equipment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service management role.
- Personal Suitability: Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Partnership: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
- Mentorship: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
- Cultural Competency: Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Cultural Competency: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Elder Support: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
Work Environment: 40 hours per week, permanent position.
