Job Summary
The Roving Technician III is a key member of our facilities operations team, responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, routine and on-demand services on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems for multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection and Maintenance
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Respond to service requests and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement preventative maintenance programs and ensure seamless operations.
- Participate in facility-related projects and contribute to the development of maintenance strategies.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with corporate and legislated policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Records and Reporting
- Record and track maintenance and repair work in our service management database.
- Monitor and report on maintenance and repair activities to ensure timely completion and quality standards.
- Identify and escalate deficiencies, and maintain related documentation.
- Submit expenditures in a timely manner.
Asset Management
- Maintain assigned tools and equipment, and arrange for repair or replacement as needed.
Other
- Contribute to enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in facility operations and maintenance.
- High school diploma plus trades training and certification or licensing.
- Strong ability to adhere to and execute processes and practices related to facility operations and maintenance.
- Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical building systems and equipment.
- Strong building mechanical and electrical equipment and system troubleshooting and resolution skills.
- Current knowledge of fire, life, safety, and building codes and standards.
- Strong environmental, health, and safety mindset.
- Effective communication skills.
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Power Engineer Certification.
- Facilities Technician Certification.
- Systems Maintenance Technician through Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI).
- Systems Maintenance Administrator through Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI).
