Electrical Specialist Engineer Opportunity

About the Role

As a Specialist Engineer, you will serve as the electrical subject matter expert and technical authority for the mine hoist and shafts technical team. Your experience and skills will lead the development of technical guidelines and processes for the mines, hoists, and shaft team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with senior engineers and other cross-functional team members on mine hoist and shaft designs and project scoping.
  • Conduct ongoing electrical testing on mine hoists and electric drives.
  • Act as the technical authority and company advocate on national code/policy committees relating to mine hoists and shafts.
  • Develop creative ideas for problems with no obvious solution; Research and actively stay current on new technologies specific to mines, hoists, and shafts.
Requirements

PEng, Electrical (Ontario)

A minimum of 8 years' professional experience (post PEng) in mines, hoists, and shafts.
