Job Title: Personal Support Worker

Job Summary:

Homes First Society is seeking a Personal Support Worker to join our team at Meegwetch Place. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with maintaining optimal health and mental health stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including residency, meals, room cleaning, grooming, and hygiene.
  • Arrange and escort clients to medical, psychiatric, dental, and diagnostic appointments and treatments.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Update client files and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Personal Support Worker Certification or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of mental health issues and experience working with people with mental health issues.
  • Certificates in First Aid, CPR, and Crisis Prevention.
  • Ability to work shifts and in an environment where there may be smoke.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
