Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Truck Driver to join our team at P Gat Trucking. This role involves transporting goods and materials efficiently while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Will train
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while on the road
  • Load and unload freight with care
  • Operate and navigate straight or articulated trucks
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on vehicles
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage
Documentation Skills
  • Accident or incident reporting
  • Driver logbook management
  • Inspection report completion (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
Equipment and Experience
  • Experience with tractor-trailer units
  • Long-haul and provincial/territorial travel experience
Work Environment
  • Attention to detail is crucial
  • Ability to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Must demonstrate good judgment, organization, reliability, and teamwork
Work Conditions
