We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our team at WillowTree, a leading digital product consultancy. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our company and driving the development of innovative mobile applications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of complex software systems, leveraging your expertise in React Native and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality software products that meet client needs.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring that team members and clients have access to accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying your knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their careers.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring that code quality and best practices are maintained throughout the development process.
  • Identify and address technical debt, ensuring that the team's codebase remains maintainable and efficient.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of professional programming experience, with at least 2+ years of experience in React Native development.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns, architecture, and testing.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
