We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our Lumber Yard team at our Edmonton Distribution Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for efficiently assembling customer orders, serving customers in the yard, maintaining the presentation and organization of warehouse materials, and loading customer trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading of building materials in a safe and timely manner
  • Assisting in loading orders onto customer trucks
  • Conducting periodic inventory counts (quarterly) and spot checks
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized lumber yard and warehouse
  • Compliance with all work safety rules and regulations
  • Providing excellent customer service to customers and truck drivers
  • Loading and unloading building materials using a forklift
  • Preparing, picking, and packing customer orders as required

Ideal Attributes:

  • High School Diploma
  • Forklift Certificate
  • Minimum of two years lumber yard forklift experience
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
  • Knowledge of the building materials industry is an asset
  • Able to work in outdoor conditions
  • Flexibility with start and finish times
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Self-Motivated and able to work without supervision
