Entry-Level Architectural Intern

Position Overview:

The role is for a junior to intermediate intern architect engaged in a registration internship. This individual will support the local principal(s) and transit director as part of the expanding Alberta Transit team. The candidate should possess strong design and technical abilities relevant to their experience level, along with excellent communication skills. Experience in Construction Administration is a plus, and familiarity with LRT and Aviation projects is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with team members, including team leads, principals, and the director, to engage in all phases of Transit project development.
  • Participate in client consultations and coordinate with various consultant disciplines.
  • Create design and construction documentation using Revit and CAD software.
  • Assist in the development of comprehensive project documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Registered with the AAA or actively pursuing registration.
  • Preferably possess experience in Transit and/or Aviation projects.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience across a variety of institutional, governmental, industrial, and commercial projects.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino & Grasshopper, SketchUp, and the Adobe Suite, as well as Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
