Position Summary:

The Financial Advisor will report directly to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis and will be responsible for delivering comprehensive financial support across various program portfolios. This role involves the integration and interpretation of financial and clinical data to facilitate effective program management.

As a proactive business partner, the Financial Advisor will collaborate with Senior Management, Program Directors, and other stakeholders to understand operational needs and assist in the coordination of the annual operating and capital budget. Responsibilities include completing forecasts, analyzing variances, and contributing to strategic action plans while ensuring compliance with external reporting requirements.

Key Qualifications:

  • A university degree in Commerce or a related field, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience; CPA designation is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Proven financial planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in developing annual budgets and aligning them with strategic objectives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships in a complex environment.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with MOH Reporting, MIS Guidelines, and OCDM is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leaders on the development of annual operating budgets and identification of program efficiencies.
  • Educate stakeholders on financial processes and accountabilities.
  • Build strong relationships with program teams to understand their operations and funding models.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on financial risks and opportunities aligned with organizational strategies.
  • Analyze operational results, identify significant variances, and facilitate the development of action plans.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end financial processes, including revenue recognition and reconciliations.
  • Work with various departments to gather and track expenses related to specific projects.
