Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Overview

Actalent is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to contribute to a significant initiative within the aerospace sector. In this role, you will be tasked with the integration and delivery of intricate avionics systems, encompassing display graphics, input/output interfaces, hardware components, and software solutions. Collaboration with various teams, including Platform, Systems, Hardware, and Verification & Validation, will be essential to ensure timely delivery of project components.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in developing Engineering Estimates and Software Development Plans.
  2. Supervise the engineering project team and subcontractor outputs, ensuring adherence to budgetary, scheduling, and quality benchmarks.
  3. Consistently update and maintain engineering project timelines.
  4. Implement the engineering development strategy, proactively identifying potential challenges that may impede project advancement.
  5. Offer insights to enhance operational effectiveness.
  6. Collaborate with departments such as Program Management, Certification, Safety & Reliability, and Quality to uphold engineering standards and processes.
  7. Assess technical risks and formulate mitigation and contingency strategies.
  8. Generate and present monthly status updates for management evaluation.
  9. Promote ongoing product enhancement and innovation.
  10. Excel in high-pressure situations and tackle complex challenges.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in project engineering.
  • Familiarity with software or hardware development (preferably both).
  • Background in aerospace or avionics, particularly with DO methodology.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective collaboration skills.
  • Focus on operational efficiency.

Work Environment
