Primary Responsibilities
- Utilize AutoCAD for design tasks
- Assist the design team by setting up AutoCAD drawing files, including digitizing and refining existing drawings
- Draft fire protection plans based on input from senior design staff
- Adhere to Integral Group's design standards and AutoCAD protocols
- Maintain organized AutoCAD files
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to coordinate fire suppression needs
- Conduct thorough reviews of work before submission to senior designers
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Fire Suppression Engineering or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience with AutoCAD and design of water-based fire protection systems
- Familiarity with HVAC and plumbing design is advantageous
- Knowledge of fire alarm and detection systems is a plus
- Experience with Revit is beneficial
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings with guidance
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of relevant building codes and NFPA standards is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and collaborating effectively within a team
