Full Time Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Full Time Maintenance Worker. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities, as well as providing transportation services for our clients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with supervision of community service-ordered workers and/or maintenance volunteers.
- Maintain exterior grounds by ensuring parking lot and sidewalks are cleared of snow, grass is cut along fence line and overall cleanliness of the property.
- Maintain/clean exterior of the building as required.
- Help facilitate parking cars for special occasions.
- Maintain interior of building by:
- Do minor repairs to plumbing and electrical systems.
- Replacement of light bulbs.
- Do minor repairs to furniture and equipment.
- Do minor building repairs, painting, and other maintenance duties as designated.
- Maintain mechanical systems.
- Help move furniture and equipment if required.
- Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and the Maintenance area in a clean hazard free manner.
- Maintain Booth Centre vehicle in good operating order.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle.
- Drive Booth Centre vehicle for picking-up donations and other designated supplies and/or making deliveries on behalf of the Booth Centre.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Center's Policies and Procedure manual and make suggestions to improve it.
- Model appropriate qualities for this position i.e., self-motivation, punctuality, and personal hygiene.
- Commit to and sign the Center's confidentiality form.
- Attend staff meetings, workshops and conferences as authorized by the Centre.
- Work within mandate and mission of the Salvation Army.
- Represent The Salvation Army in a professional manner.
This is a permanent full-time position with 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility in scheduling is required. The work schedule is determined in consultation with your supervisor and may vary according to requirements of responsibility. Applicable shifts include a 1⁄2 hour unpaid meal break.
Shifts: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday
