About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Space Planning Specialist to join our team at Parkland Corporation. As a key member of our Space Planning team, you will play a critical role in further improving the customer experience at our convenience store network and On the Run brand.

As a Space Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for creating store layouts that maximize category sales to space allocations, utilizing RELEX software and data to drive customer-centric design decisions. You will also build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of layout plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement store layouts that optimize customer flow and maximize sales potential
  • Analyze data and market trends to inform design decisions and stay ahead of the competition
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and execution of layout plans
  • Manage and maintain a database of store layouts and site-specific attributes
  • Oversee merchandising activities during initial store set up and refresh projects
Requirements
  • Experience with RELEX Solutions planning platform
  • CAD software or other Space Planning software
  • Undergraduate degree in related fields
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and organized with strong attention to detail
  • Retail experience and category/merchandising expertise
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead cross-functional teams
