Your ResponsibilitiesEpic is in search of a skilled Senior Visual Design Lead to help shape the future of Fortnite Festival. In this role, you will collaborate with development teams to design unforgettable instrument cosmetics, aura VFXs, and stage environments that radiate personality and flair. Your artistic proficiency in color, composition, form, and visual aesthetics will be instrumental in enhancing our iconic visual identity. Your expertise in both character and environment design will inspire the ongoing evolution of what Fortnite represents to our audience.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with Art Directors and the core development team to conceptualize and visualize diverse content across the Fortnite Festival and Battle Royale ecosystem.
- Inspire, mentor, and oversee a team of Concept Artists and external vendors.
- Provide prompt and detailed feedback to the concept art team and outsourcing partners.
- Coordinate with various art, design, and production teams to achieve product objectives.
- Experience in a Lead Concept Artist role on at least one AAA game.
- A strong passion for and understanding of Fortnite's distinctive visual styles.
- Experience collaborating with IP partners is advantageous.
- A portfolio showcasing a variety of styles, creativity, and craftsmanship.
- An effective leader, collaborator, and problem solver capable of coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure visual development that serves as a benchmark for the team.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to accurately estimate tasks and manage timelines.
- Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of various art disciplines (animation, character, environment, VFX).
- Exceptional traditional artistic skills with a comprehensive grasp of composition, anatomy, color theory, perspective, lighting, environment, architectural, character, costume, and graphic design.
