Job Summary

At AZ Towing, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Cargo Management: Load and unload goods, obtain special permits, and perform emergency roadside repairs.
  • Logistics Coordination: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliability, hardworking, and patience.
Work Environment
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
  • Job Type: Permanent.
