Job SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Environmental Professional to join our team in Chetwynd, BC. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership to design, plan, and lead various field programs, evaluate environmental opportunities, and assist in proposal writing.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership to design, plan, and lead various field programs
- Evaluate environmental opportunities and assist in proposal writing
- Manage tasks and projects according to approved scopes of work and deliver quality reports on schedule
- Liaise with on-site client representatives, contractors, and regulators
- Provide quality and independent review for projects
- Provide an understanding of environmental Best Management Practices and advise clients accordingly
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and professionals
- B.Sc. in earth/environmental science, biology, forestry, or related discipline
- Possess a designation (i.e. R.P. Bio, P.Ag, P.Biol etc) and be a member in good standing of the professional body
- 7-10 years of relevant experience
- Broad-based experience in the heavy industrial /civil construction sector, including but not limited to: water quality, fisheries, plants, wetlands, ESC, contaminated sites, etc.
- Experience with environmental monitoring and compliance inspections
- Ability and willingness to work in a variety of field settings
- Demonstrated experience with technical writing, reporting, and communication
- Multi-jurisdictional knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, permits, and legislation
- Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams to meet objectives, develop programs to manage risks, meet corporate and stakeholder requirements, and maintain compliance
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative working style
- Valid drivers license

- A competitive salary between $90,000.00 and $120,000.00 depending on experience and qualifications
