Our extensive range of services encompasses advanced 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling, CNC turning with live tooling, as well as 6, 8, and 9-axis Swiss turning. We also specialize in precision sheet metal fabrication, mechanical, optical, and electrical sub-assembly, clean room capabilities, and various finishing services. Our clientele features a distinguished list from both the Canadian and American defense sectors.

Available Positions and Shifts:

We have multiple openings available on the Afternoon Shift: Monday through Thursday, from 4:30 pm to 2:00 am, and Friday from 3:15 pm to 7:15 pm.

Compensation: Based on Experience

Key Responsibilities:

The CNC Machinist role at Ben Machine Products encompasses the following duties:

  • Set up and operate 3 and 4-axis CNC vertical milling machines.
  • Utilize appropriate tools, fixtures, and indicators for machine setup.
  • Load, unload, modify, and adjust programs as necessary.
  • Change and set cutting tools as required.
  • Modify and grind tools when necessary.
  • Adjust feeds and speeds to optimize efficiency.
  • Operate machinery while adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Deburr and prepare components for loading and post-unloading.
  • Measure and inspect parts to confirm dimensions are within specified tolerances.
  • Interpret and read blueprints accurately.
  • Comprehend geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

We seek candidates who meet the following experience criteria:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience for junior roles.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience for senior roles.
  • A certificate of qualification, college degree, or relevant training in CNC machining is advantageous.
  • Experience with Fanuc or Haas systems is essential.
  • Familiarity with Mastercam is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the aerospace sector is a plus.
  • Experience in a jobbing shop environment is beneficial.
