Senior Applications Architect Job Description

Azad Technology Partners is seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Architect to join our team on a full-time, W2 Contract basis in Des Moines, IA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in cloud architecture planning, estimating, application migration, and cloud governance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AWS well-architected frameworks and be able to design and implement secure, scalable, and efficient cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical leadership in architecting, implementing, and operationalizing AWS cloud hosting zones.
  2. Partner with Development and Infrastructure teams to architect applications and leverage infrastructure services in cloud environments.
  3. Design and implement secure, scalable, and efficient cloud solutions using AWS services such as EC2, ALB, RDS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, and IAM.
  4. Develop and maintain cloud-native applications using Java, Spring frameworks, SQL, Oracle, SOAP, and REST web services.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish coding practices, code review standards, and security protocols.
  6. Ensure cloud environments meet operational and security standards using configuration management and tooling.
  7. Containerize and orchestrate container images effectively to meet performance requirements.
  8. Integrate Okta using SAML and/or JWT.

Requirements:

  1. 8 years of extensive experience in architecting web applications, event-driven systems, and microservices.
  2. 8 years of design, estimate, implementation, and governance of AWS Cloud architecture.
  3. 8 years of strong experience in AWS services like EC2, ALB, RDS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, IAM, etc.
  4. 8 years of cloud-native development and serverless technologies.
  5. 5 years of application migration to AWS.
  6. 8 years of Docker and container orchestration technologies.
  7. 15 years of SOA and microservices development.
  8. 15 years of Java, Jakarta EE, JSON, XML, Hibernate/OpenJPA, SOAP, and REST web services.
  9. 15 years of Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Cloud, Spring Batch.
  10. 15 years of SQL, PL/SQL.
  11. 5 years of Okta, SAML, JWT.
  12. 5 years of CI/CD pipeline and tools.
  13. 15 years of established coding practices, code review standards, and security protocols.
