Job Title: Senior Technical Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Architect to lead the development of our Geospatial Ontario IT Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing technical architectures that meet the needs of our business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement technical architectures for large-scale distributed systems
  • Lead the design and development of Esri-based geospatial solutions, including ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Server
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture designs and implementation plans
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large enterprise environments
  • Experience with multiple spatial and non-spatial database technologies, including Oracle Spatial, Azure SQL DB, and PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including virtual hardware, scaling, middleware, gateways, storage, and highly available deployments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture processes and practices
