Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team at The Good Samaritan Society. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a sense of well-being and dignity.
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving, ensuring residents receive nutritious and appealing meals.
  • Participate in activities and programs designed to promote physical and mental well-being, such as exercise routines and social events.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring residents receive comprehensive and person-centered care.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in healthcare or a related field an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
