About the Role

Citrex Corp. is seeking a skilled Electrical Mechanic to join our team. As an Electrical Mechanic, you will be responsible for testing and observing electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment, troubleshooting and repairing electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment to identify potential issues
  • Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment
  • Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components as needed
  • Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors to ensure optimal performance
  • Perform machining tasks to recondition or modify shafts, commutators, or other parts
  • Provide on-site servicing and repair to ensure minimal downtime
  • Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear
  • Verify the proper performance of repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in electrical or electromechanical equipment repair
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed
