Lead and Manage Food Safety & Quality Assurance Operations
Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a dedicated and experienced FSQA Manager to oversee our food safety and quality assurance operations during the afternoon shift. This critical role will ensure that all products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive food safety and quality assurance programs aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with established protocols and identify areas for improvement.
- Train and mentor team members on food safety principles, procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Investigate and resolve any food safety or quality issues promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless integration of FSQA practices into daily operations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to food safety and quality assurance activities.
- Stay abreast of evolving industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Proven experience in a food manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of FSQA principles and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant FSQA software applications.
