About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Navigation Software Engineer to join our team at Outrider. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying high-performance software that controls the behaviors of our automated electric yard truck.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and deploy motion planning and controls algorithms to ensure safe and efficient navigation of our autonomous vehicles.
  • Develop cutting-edge C++ software that runs on our autonomous vehicles, controlling their maneuvers and avoiding collisions with nearby obstacles.
  • Collaborate with our talented engineering team to solve complex technical challenges and drive the development of our planning stack.
  • Monitor performance metrics of our product operating at customer sites and develop new metrics to meet customer needs.
  • Contribute to the growth and success of Outrider, building a vibrant culture focused on responsible deployment of zero-emission autonomous vehicle technology.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art navigation, motion planning, and controls techniques.
  • Proven track record in navigation and planning in robotics.
  • Experience working in competitive AI companies and startups.
  • Ability to design, implement, and deploy motion planning and control software stacks.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Recurring success in multiple technical projects of increasing complexity.
