Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Dining Room Server to join our team at Sienna Senior Living. As a Dining Room Server, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional hospitality and service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Service: Assist with the preparation and presentation of food under the direction of the Executive Chef, ensuring that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Table Service: Provide exceptional table service to residents, utilizing the Ready, Set, Serve Program to ensure a seamless and efficient dining experience.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain established standards for cleanliness and sanitation throughout all aspects of food preparation and service, adhering to provincial regulations and ORCA standards.
  • Sales and Revenue: Promote and track a la carte and wine service sales in accordance with prescribed procedures, ensuring that all revenue opportunities are maximized.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Participate in drills to prepare for emergencies and attend all education sessions in relation to emergency preparedness, ensuring that the department is always tour-ready.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Must have one year of experience in dining room service, with a Serve It Right (SIRS) Certificate.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team, with effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Safe Food Handling Certification and experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process.
