Job Title: Instructor (Marine Engineering)

The Marine Institute at Memorial University is seeking a qualified instructor to join our team in the School of Maritime Studies. As an instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and developing courses in marine engineering technology, as well as participating in the ongoing program review process.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver course materials and curriculum for marine engineering technology programs
  • Participate in program review and evaluation processes
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
  • Work with industry partners to ensure program relevance and effectiveness
  • Advise students on work placement opportunities and career options
  • Develop and deliver online courses through the University's Learning Management System
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in the marine transportation industry
  • Transport Canada Certificate of Competency at the First-Class Engineer level
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant area to maritime studies
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
