Job Overview

As a Printing Production Technician at Canadian Printing Resources Inc., you will play a crucial role in the printing process, ensuring high-quality output and efficient operations.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and adjust printing plates or cylinders, making necessary modifications for optimal performance.
  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Fill ink fountains and monitor color and viscosity for consistency.
  • Plan and implement effective production methods.
  • Conduct initial press runs at reduced speeds to verify sample quality.
  • Provide guidance and training to apprentices in the printing process.
  • Utilize a computer control console to monitor and maintain quality during regular press operations.
  • At the conclusion of press runs, remove and clean plates and cylinders to ensure equipment longevity.
  • Set up and fine-tune in-line binding and finishing machinery.
  • Lead the press crew in setting up, operating, and shutting down the press efficiently.
