CFAA TECHNICIAN ROLE
As a CFAA Technician at Fire Safety and Protection, you will engage in comprehensive learning and execution of all services offered under the CFAA umbrella, encompassing Fire Alarm and Security installation, maintenance, and inspection. We provide FSP University to facilitate the growth of our CFAA Technicians. Join us and experience the impact of quality leadership on your professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing, inspections, verification, and servicing of fire alarm systems and devices.
- Evaluate installation sites and review work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to ascertain material needs and installation protocols.
- Demonstrate systems to clients and clarify details, including the reasons and implications of false alarms.
- Test and repair circuits and sensors, adhering to wiring and system specifications.
- We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience in fire alarm and security installation, maintenance, and inspection.
- Comply with local and national security regulations.
Essential Qualifications:
- CFAA License
- Previous experience with fire alarm systems, monitoring systems, emergency lighting systems, and security systems is preferred.
- Experience with Siemens and/or Mircom ESD is advantageous.
- A willingness and eagerness to learn all aspects of the CFAA Technician role in fire alarm and security.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- A customer-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work within the designated territory and surrounding areas.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in challenging positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working in ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, standing for extended periods, lifting 35 lbs, and other tasks typical for a CFAA Technician.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends, to meet client needs.
- Overnight travel may be necessary.
- Ability to differentiate color coding of cables.
