Position Overview

Join our team at Light Speed Logistics as a Class 1 Truck Driver specializing in cross-border transportation. We are seeking dedicated drivers based in Calgary, AB, to deliver exceptional service across the U.S. border.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Full-time, Permanent position
  • Paid orientation at $125 per day (totaling $250)
  • Quarterly safety-performance bonuses: $0.02 per mile and $0.05 per mile
  • Annual bonus of $0.01 for each mile driven
  • CVSA Inspection Bonus
  • Paid layover: $100 per day and $150 per day options
  • Paid waiting time: $12 per hour (up to $100) and $20 per hour (up to $150)

    • U.S. Team: $0.66 per mile
    • U.S. Single: $0.54 per mile
    • U.S. Team California: $0.71 per mile
    • U.S. Single California: $0.59 per mile
    • U.S. Team NW-OR/WA: $0.76 per mile
    • U.S. Single NW-OR/WA: $0.64 per mile
    • Canadian Team: $0.62 per mile
    • Canadian Single: $0.50 per mile
    • (AB-BC) (BC-AB) Team: $0.80 per mile
    • (AB-BC) (BC-AB) Single: $0.68 per mile
  • Owner Operators:
    • U.S. Team: $2.15 per mile
    • U.S. Single: $2.00 per mile
    • U.S. Team California: $2.20 per mile
    • U.S. Single California: $2.05 per mile
    • U.S. Team NW-OR/WA: $2.25 per mile
    • U.S. Single NW-OR/WA: $2.10 per mile
    • Canadian Team: $1.95 per mile
    • Canadian Single: $1.80 per mile
    • (AB-BC) (BC-AB) Single: $2.35 per mile
    • (AB-BC) (BC-AB) Team: $2.50 per mile

Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 driver's license
  • Minimum of 1 year of driving experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Current 5-Year Driver's Abstract (no older than 30 days from application)
  • Pass a third-party Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • Direct Deposit form
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
