Job Summary

Mississauga Bus, Coach & Truck Repairs Inc. is seeking a skilled Bus and Truck Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of commercial transport vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks, including adjustments, repairs, and replacements of parts and components.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and confirm findings with supervisors to determine the best course of action.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Discuss work with supervisors and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Record Keeping: Complete reports to record problems and work performed, and maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Work Environment

As a Bus and Truck Mechanic, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a dusty, outdoors environment with exposure to hot and noisy conditions.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
