Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Math and Science to junior and senior students, with a focus on inclusive education and case management. You will work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide support to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Math and Science to junior and senior students
  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with diverse learning needs
  • Provide case management support to students and their families
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement inclusive education strategies
  • Use competency-based assessment strategies to measure student progress
  • Integrate technology into instructional practices to improve learning outcomes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent
  • Minimum completion of 3rd and 4th year level university coursework necessary for teaching senior level curricula
  • Completion or partial completion of a professional certification or university degree program in Special Education
  • Training in functional behavior assessment and behavioral intervention strategies
  • Experience in developing and implementing IEPs and case management
  • Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership with the Ministry of Education and Childcare
